We are pleased to announce the BID (Business Improvement District) Clifton Village has secured a further five-year tenure commencing November 2017. 64% of the voting businesses said YES and similarly 76% of the rateable value.

Guaranteeing an income of £425,000 over the next five years means BID Clifton Village will be able to continue funding the Christmas Lights, that have become a must-see attraction over the festive period.

We will also be able to continue organising high profile events throughout the next five years for the benefit of all businesses, residents and visitors. Recent memorable events being the Tour of Britain comes to Clifton Village and CliftonFest. Behind the scenes we are already preparing a major event for Spring/Summer 2018 which is receiving great feedback and will celebrate Clifton Village and its iconic attractions (more details to follow early 2018).

As a Business Improvement District we face many challenges, with transport links and the Residents Parking Scheme being key concerns of the businesses. This is something we will continue to debate with Bristol City Council to ensure we receive the best possible outcome.

BID Clifton Village is committed to its environment and we will continue to support Bristol in Bloom, do all we can to reduce waste and rubbish concerns and ensure Clifton Village remains a vibrant business area. Working together and we will protect its unique quality and diversity.
